I have a Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, 1992.  Basically, my front windshield wipers come on for one pulse (wipe) at random intervals on their own.  One must be driving the car for at least 30 minutes before this may happen (though sometimes it happens right when I start the car). Sometimes this happens when I use the turn signal (either direction), and sometimes when I am simply driving (no signalling). This problem happened two years ago, and I had a Pulse Control Module (PCM) computer chip replaced.  The PCM is the chip that controls the motion of the wipers.  This fixed the problem for 2 years or so. Four months ago, the problem came back.   For the last four months, I’ve been taking the Blazer into the dealer. They always are unable to reproduce the problem (because they won’t take the time to drive it for 30 minutes for more) so now my warranty has expired.  But, I have at my own insistance had them replace the turn-signal stem switch once (thinking there may have been a bad wiper switch in the stem), and I have also had them replace the PCM chip.   It did no good. Last week, I had them replace the PCM chip again at my insistance. The problem went away for one week, but is now occurring again. I suspect that some problem with my electrical system is causing the PCM to become damaged.  I suspect that it is a symptom of the problem, but not the cause. Now my warranty has expired, and I cannot afford to keep throwing money down the toilet trying guess solutions. Has anyone out there had this problem before, and does anyone know of the solution? Bud
