2002 2500HD opinions
Question:
i love my new 2002 ext.cab long wheel base witha 8.1 isnt the best on gas mileage but it has lots of power and torque. i like the allison transmission too. good stereo, seat ,nice riding and handling.never thoght id have a 4×4 but i like it so far. not too sure about the oil monitor part i dont like going so far without oi changes. up to 4000 miles and no oil change reminder yet it looks like the a.c. compressor is a low power using. real small belt drives the pump. thats weird but might save on power when its needed. so far so good. she had a west coast strut sweet as molasses, but what really knocked me out was her cheap sunglasses

Eric, thanks for the suggestion. was not familiar with that product. too bad they want so much $ for it. I’m still hoping to design my own circuit. will pass it on if things work out…. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > Hi George, I read that 1 of your dislikes is "automatic headlights." well I > felt the same way until installed this product from R&D Truck & Auto > Accessories. What about those mushy breaks, my 97 Yukon has them too. Any fix or is it the way they are? — You don’t shoot to kill. You shoot to stay alive.

I bought mine the end of October. It now has about 3,300-miles. With the possible exception that the truck it is too darn HIGH ("unnecessarily" high ground clearance), it has been trouble free. I’m tickled pink!

No problems here with mine and am very pleased with the driving and towing attributes. Have a little of 5k miles on it now and about 4k were towing a 7k lb. travel trailer. Had to add some step bars for the wife to get in/out, but they look good. Paid about $200 over invoice. The dealer tricked me and added $175 admin. fee after we had agreed to price. Watch your out of the door price. Good luck with yours. MR 2002, LS 2500HD 6.0L, ext. cab

took delivery at end of November. 2500 HD, 6.0 L, 8 ft bed, 4×4, auto., extended cab. 2,800 miles. no problems. added step bars ’cause it is high in the air. bought the bucket seats to get console, but not overjoyed with seats. i screw around with adjustment all the time, but can’t seem to get comfortable on long trip. likes: power handling good build quality for GM (full of plastic) dislikes: gas mileage is 13. i knew what to expect before i bought it seat comfort automatic headlights. i plan to disable this system as soon as i get the factory service electrical schematics. firestone tires – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > I am considering the purchase of a 2002 2500HD.
