I went out and got a code scanner. The thing is I didn’t even get a code 12 when I plugged it in. Thanks Mike

You have an OBD 1.5 system, won’t scan with the typical paperclip-makes-CES light-flash method ,which it sounds as though your "scan tool" mimicks. Needs an honest-to-god REAL scan tool…

Hi all, Ok now that I am starting to go broke here buying parts I don’t need. I am asking for some advice. Ok here is my sitiuation: 95 Chevy S-10 pickup 4.3 motor and manual tranny. 2wd. When the engine is cold it runs great and starts great. 1. When warm it may or may not start after its been shut off. It will just crank. A shot of starting fluid and it starts right up.- this makes me think it fuel related. 2. When warm it may die at idle, setting at a stop sign or redlight. then it will not start, just cranks. a shot of starter fluid and it fire right up. I have changed the fuel pump& strainer and filter. I have inspected the fuel regulator and it looks perfect.(Not much too it) I have the EGR valve out and will clean it but it seems to work by sucking on the vacuum line. I have the IAC out and it looks perfect(adds air at idle, was dirty and I cleaned it). I have removed the injectors and inspected them looked good and ohmed them with a meter and they come out perfect(compared to a new ones) My plan is to put it back together(waiting on gaskets) and if my problems happens again Im gonna remove the air cleaner lid, and turn the key to on, take a 9volt battery and force the injector to open …and with the key on -fuel pump running the injecor should spray like a skunk. This will verify the fuel is makeing to the injector. Is the computer is bad?…it runs fine when not at idle..But Im at my skill limit. It maybe an O2 sensor… but the thing just passed emmission with flying colors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike
