Fuel Pressure? 99 SIlverado 4.8L

Question:

Just wondering if anyone knows the spec for fuel pressure on the 4.8L vortec chevy silverado engine.  I checked it today and was 4.2 BAR at idle. Just curious. Thanks.

Thanks Doc. I work for a german car make, so we use the BAR fuel pressure guage. Ill try to convert the bar to psi. Thanks again.

Turns out the alternator didnt have any problems…Its just a junk manufacturer…. The running problem stemmed from just filling up at my local Mobil station with there 93 octane, wed been having tons of rainfall. I filled up the the truck ran like shit, no power misfiring cylinder 7…I swapped plugs, injector, coils, wires, still misfiring on 7. So i pulled the injection rail out and the whole left side rail was being clogged with water and a sandy type material from the recently filled fuel tank. Eventually i got around to draining the fuel tank, replacing the fuel filter and adding frsh new fuel from a different fuel company.
